Winter Is Coming: A Brand-New Portable Synthetic Ice Rink Joins Our Fleet for 2026

As the summer starts to draw to a close, we’re already looking ahead to the winter events season — and this year we have something very exciting to announce!

From Christmas markets and town-centre celebrations to school events and council winter programmes, our synthetic ice skating rinks have travelled across the UK, helping create festive experiences for families, communities and visitors.

And for winter 2026, we’re adding something completely new to our fleet…

Introducing Our New Portable Ice Skating Rink

Our brand-new portable synthetic ice rink has been designed to make bringing ice skating to your event even easier.

With a 6m x 6m skating area, the rink can accommodate up to 15 skaters at a time, while the complete unit is approximately 7 metres in length. The result is a compact, highly mobile skating attraction that can be transported directly to your event and set up where you need it.

Why is this rink different?

One of the biggest advantages of our new portable rink is the potential for fast installation and removal.

For suitable events, the rink can be set up and taken down on the same day, meaning there may be no requirement to leave the equipment on site overnight.

That can make a big difference for venues and event organisers where security, overnight storage or lengthy installation periods can be difficult to arrange.

Please note: suitable vehicle access is essential, as the complete unit is approximately 7 metres long.

Perfect for Winter Events Across the UK

We have experience providing synthetic ice skating attractions for a wide range of events, including:

• Local authority and council winter events
• Town and city-centre market squares
• Christmas markets
• School Christmas fairs and winter events
• Community celebrations
• Corporate events
• Shopping and retail events
• Festive attractions and winter wonderlands

Synthetic ice is particularly useful for temporary events because it doesn't require the refrigeration equipment needed by a traditional real-ice rink. That means fewer technical requirements and greater flexibility when choosing a venue.

Our Penguins Have Had Their Summer Makeover!

And, of course, no winter skating experience would be complete without our trusty skating aids!

Our penguin skating aids have been given their summer makeover and are now getting ready for another busy winter season.

They are a firm favourite with younger skaters and beginners who might need a little extra confidence while finding their feet on the ice.

After spending the summer getting refreshed and ready, the penguins are officially winter-ready!

Bringing the Winter Magic to Your Event

Our aim is to make hiring a synthetic ice rink as straightforward as possible, whether you're planning a large council event in a town square or a smaller Christmas celebration at a school.

The new portable rink gives us another option within our fleet, particularly for events where space, access, installation time or overnight security are important considerations.

And because we cover events across the UK, we're looking forward to taking our new rink on the road this winter.
