Hello there

I can’t believe a full week has passed since the Staff Festival, and I’m so sorry I’m only just getting to the bottom of list of thank yous now! (the list wasn’t in any kind of order!)

Thank you Kym to you and the whole of the team! I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to see on the day – but did meet a fair few of your team who were all lovely.

As you know this was my first year managing the event so would welcome any and all feedback of things you thought went well and what could have gone better from your point of view.

I think some of your team may have experienced some frustrations getting back onto site after initial dropoff/set up – so that be good to get an understanding of what we could do to make that part of the process better.

Thank you so much for the advice and replacement activity as part of the wind mitigation – the Bronco went down a storm as far as I can tell!!

Hi Kym,

Thank you so much for providing the games for our event last Thursday. The event was amazing and everyone really loved the photobooth and Pick ‘n’ Mix stand. The games were also really popular, especially the space hoppers, shuffleboard and the electronic game in the tipi (which proved to be very competitive!). The deckchairs and garden games also worked really well when we had a 1 hour break at the end of the afternoon before the evening event.

Apologies, but someone managed to keep hold of a gun from the photobooth. I will pop that in the post to you today by recorded delivery.

We’re hoping to run a similar event at Hazlewood Castle around June time next year and we would love to hire you again if that goes to plan.

Just to say a great big thank you for the loan of your rodeo pig which proved to be our biggest attraction.

Good feedback regarding the trampolines, children visiting the store loved them. Trampolines were full almost all day, and the staff member, Brian kept on top of safety, ensuring rules of use were followed.

Just want to say Thank you so much Active Hire and particularly to Josh who saved my little boy's party on Sunday. We were let down by Bradford mascots not much more than an hour before the party. Josh brought a bouncy castle down to our venue and set up in good time before the party. My Son and all his party guests loved it! Just a big thank-you for coming to Lates: Gaming. We had a fantastic night, welcoming around 500 people to the museum and everyone’s great activities. I hope you got a lot out of taking part, it was a pleasure to have you here.

I’m sure I’ll be in touch for future Lates (next one’s in March) and the Science Festival in July which the we run, so if you’d like to be involved we’d love to have you.

Thank you so very much for the kind donation of £2,644.51 which was raised at The Leisure Supply Show. Please thank everyone involved for their support. Your donation enables Candlelighters to do so much for families affected by childhood cancer including:

Supporting the Wards... we fund essential additional services from funding posts, to purchasing IT equipment, to building a state of the art Pavilion for families to take a break from the sound and smells of the hospital;

Offering Family Support... whether we are supporting families financially, sending them on a much needed break or welcoming them to our brand new family support centre, The Square, we are there for families both practically and emotionally;

Through Funding Research... each year we plough hundreds of thousands of pounds into the research and study of children's cancer. We are proud this is funded by the people of Yorkshire with the potential for international impact.

This is a significant, and important donation and will make a huge difference to the support we can offer families. Whether it goes towards providing a holiday for a family or supporting one of the Play Leaders on the ward it is helping make a family's cancer journey a little better.

Just wanted to say thanks for the air hockey and space invaders machines - both of which were (I am told) AWESOME! The party was a complete success and I was able to keep boys out of the house - so a complete success for me too!! The 18 year olds, 55 year olds and 9 to 15 year olds were all completely absorbed by the games and even I had a go on the space invaders. Thanks so much for the prompt delivery and collection and for such good products.
