23 December 20 - COVID-19 Oh what a year...

After 21 years of #activehire this year has 100% been the most testing. Starting as always with new products, training and preparing equipment, vans and staff for the new season. We was expecting 2020 to be or biggest year ever as we have continued a steady growth year after year- well how wrong can we have been. We are still getting enquiries generally the first question is "are you still trading" and we can say proudly YES. It has been very testing we have made plan after plan after plan. We have invested in new items to keep us going on a different track like the Ice Skating Rink but unfortunately even after a successful promotion with December been close to been sold out not one job took place. So after all the hard work, exciting new product, promotion, bookings, site visits and risk assessments etc. Every job cancelled and refunds were issued at a very frustrating time. Fortunately, we have got past the disappointment and still looking to move forward to 2021 and beyond. After 21 of trading we have built a solid business with a strong customer base. We feel pretty confident that with the vaccine now been rolled out we can see some light at the end of a very long tunnel. We don't expect 2021 to be normal but a start back to normality and we will be here to see in our 22nd year of business. What will 2021 bring? Well as we are known for new products, adding to one of the largest ranges in the Yorkshire and the UK. With the new products for 2020 never making their debut, 2021 will be a rollover of new products with the addition of a couple of new items that we have been working on during lockdown.

So let's get started with the amazing looking Carnival Side Stall this can hold up to 4 side stalls including the new additions to the range Rolla Bowler, Mini Shuffleboard, Coin Roll and more from the Flight cased side stall games. Inhouse built we also have the full size pub style shuffleboard 3 meters long (10ft) double ended just like the original, Using a wax lubricant for a all action game for all ages.

Eight hoop ips basketball this large 2 player game has full digital scoring system with the overall game giving a big impression.

Ballnado Grabber an Great twist on the popular Grab 'A' Grand Cash Cube game our Ballnado grabber's are loaded with soft foam balls which the player tries to catch, snatch and grab as many as they can in 20 seconds as they fly around the ballnado cube. The game can be fully branded including coloured balls cube branding front, back and top boards.

The Equalizer A real test of strength and stamina, we don’t call this the eliminator for nothing! Ease off for a second, or stop for a breath, and all your hard work will be Equalized as you are dragged all the way back to the start by the bungee rope.

T-Rex - Dinosaur Rodeo - Tyrannosaurus Rex Rodeo again another amazing looking item that is guaranteed to be a big success with our younger customers.

And of course the big investment the synthetic Ice Skating Rink. This was added to the hire fleet to see us through the winter period but alas it has not been used after test set up and trial run. But moving forward its here and will be staying for fun and a skating experience for all ages. The rink can also be used for Roller Disco so keep your eyes peeled for that coming soon.

Another inhouse build that was worked on during lock down is the Catch It / Drop Zone. The name maybe in doubt but the fun is not. 10 items suspended above your head are released with a random drop patten, the aim is to move as quickly as possible and catch as many items as possible.

So that's the fun lined up for 2021 as soon as we are allowed out to play. Going forward into 2021 and our 22nd year of Active Hire we are determined to be the ones to bring #funforhire to the whole of the UK with #gamesforhire.

All that is left for me to say is please stay safe. Thank You to all our customers, suppliers, friends and family that have helped us over the last 21 years and especially the last 12 months.

Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all.
