So we smashed October! Two of the biggest jobs of the year on the same day around 150 miles apart. WOW! Hopefully never again on the same day, stress levels not just on the day, but two weeks leading up to the events. Both these events were fully event managed by us from entertainment, Bar, Food, Venue finding we did the lot. Coca-Cola was 10 months in the planning starting with a Meeting in January. These events take a lot of planning and when your organising and outsourcing the time and stress prove difficult. We look like the Swan at meetings and back at the office we are mad people rushing around. The day of the events are the easy part if you have put everything in place, and all your suppliers have done as they have been asked. The customer sees the Swan not knowing we have plan B, C and D just in case. If any of them are required then things should be seamless and the customer should be none the wiser. Coca-cola event was just as planned with venue issues on the way it was a new venue for us and they threw us a few curve balls but Kym was on it, and with planning and a good team behind her it all came together perfectly. I will post photos on our gallery page but there is also photos on our Facebook page.
So I got the easier one al be it the bigger one two days set up and two days open the Leisure Supplies Show is a full year in the making and Like most events by the time you get to the event day it should be clear sailing but this as not been so for the last 2 years again with some major venue issues and been let down by venue management. The show has been a great success but the stress everyday was a nightmare. This year was plain sailing we did what we needed to do and the NEW venue did there part as they should and things went like a dream. My Team did me proud and Kym and her team leaders joined us for the Monday packaway.
All round Job well done now time to go on Holiday. Mike left on a Golf Trip straight after the Show (leaving us to tidy up) and when he gets back we have some Family celebrations to catch up on it's been a big year and for a family run and supported business we are going all away for the first time in a long time. Jill will be running the office Mike, Curtis, Josh and Mark running things back at the shop and on events.
Two new items launched at the show that will go straight on to the hire fleet. New Multifuncional Digital timers you will see these added to many of out games may be looking different for different items. I.e Pit stop challenge, Grab a grand, Buzz wires, Its a knockout and many more games. Along side of that is Grab It this one was finished very last minute but this will be a big hit in 2020. This is still in its raw state so checkback when its fully branded.
See video of game in action to get a feel for it.
Well that's it there is a sun bed with my name on it, next will be the report back after the IAPPA show we are doing in Orlando, but we are not back till 28th November. Kym will be back in on the 11th so for now Happy Holidays :-)
